The 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris marked another significant chapter for Ghana, as the nation sought its first medal in the event’s history. Competing from August 28 to September 8, 2024, Ghana sent a determined team of athletes across various disciplines, including para athletics and para taekwondo.
At the Paris 2024 Paralympics, Ghana’s para athletics efforts were led by Zinabu Issah, competing in two major events. In the Women’s Shot Put F57, she delivered a strong qualification throw of 8.67 meters, ultimately finishing 9th in the finals with a throw of 8.84 meters. In the Women’s Discus Throw F57, she qualified with a throw of 24.39 meters but finished 12th in the finals, achieving 23.85 meters. Despite not reaching the podium, Zinabu’s performance showcased her dedication and Ghana’s resilience in the global para athletics arena.
